Social media being as popular as ever, is often found that people's information is beginning to be hacked and stolen. An example of this is when you often get a virus that is asking you to "click here for a prize". Upon clicking that link, there is a virus that is sent and people are now hacking your Facebook, Twitter, or any other type of social media one might have. Although this is just a small and somewhat harmless example, it can be far more serious and the consequences could become much more serious.

On these social networking sites people have a large amount of personal information, and if they get hacked, then it could cause many problems for them. It can result in identity theft for instance, where someone can take the persona of another person in order to gain access to their bank accounts and other important groups.
